Storyline
Plot Summary:The movie continues where the last one with Marty stuck in 1955. But Doc Brown sent him a letter from 1855 through Western Union, that told him that after the Delorean was struck by lightning he was sent to 1855 and was unable to repair it, but has managed to bury it somewhere, where Marty can get to it in 1955 and hopefully the younger version of himself can repair it so he can drive it back to 1985 and then destroy it. But after finding it, Marty discovers that shortly after sending the letter Doc would be shot by an outlaw, Mad Dog Tannen. Marty then goes back to 1885 to save him and meets his ancestors. After finding the Doc, they were about to leave when Marty told the Doc that upon arriving the Delorean’s gas tank was punctured, so they don’t have any gasoline to run the car, which means they have to find some way to get the car to 88 mph. They decide to try pushing it with a locomotive. And things are fine except for the fact that Tannen, who had it in for Doc, now has it for Marty and has challenged him to gunfight on the day that they are going to leave, and Doc is smitten with Clara Clayton, the new school teacher.
ok i understand why micheal j. fox plays seamus mcfly (Marty’s great great grand farther) because he’s supposed to family and what better way to resemble family then putting the same actor as there long relatives etc. but why does lea thompson play maggie if shes supposed to be Marty’s great great grandmother from his dads side?
Voting Question: Can someone help me please? can someone tell me what they are asking me to do ?? thanks This is a software development and testing task.
When a customer makes a purchase, a job sheet is produced. An example of a job sheet is shown in

Daisy-May has found out how other companies record new jobs using a database. She has suggested
to Darren that DM Carpets use a database in a similar way.
Before a job is input into the computer, the customer details are input
separately. When the job is input, the customer is selected from a drop down
list. The sales rep is also selected from a drop down list.
Each job sheet consists of a number of ʻjob linesʼ – these are each part
of the job that needs to be carried out. For each job line, the sales rep
will select the product (eg gripper strips) from a drop down list and the
quantity needed. The system will automatically display the unit price (eg
ВЈ0.99) and units (eg per metre, or per sq metre) and display the sub-total
for each job line (quantity multiplied by unit price).
The discount is only applied to the price of the carpet eg. Golden Berber
Twist has a total price of ВЈ505.78, therefore a discount of 10% would be
ВЈ50.58.
If the option of fitting is chosen, then the charge for fitting is automatically
displayed and added to the total due. If fitting is not chosen, then ВЈ0 is
displayed as the fitting charge.
The total due is calculated by adding up all the sub-totals and the fitting
charge and deducting any discount. (a) Develop an appropriate database structure to meet the requirements above.
(i) Show evidence of the implemented entity relationship diagram for the database. [1]
(ii) Show evidence of the field names, data types and primary keys used for each table. [4]
(b) Create a data entry screen that can be used for inputting a new job sheet.
(i) Show evidence of the data entry screen that you have created with data entered from
Fig 4.1. [4]
(ii) Show evidence of what happens when you click on the drop down lists for customer
and product. Your evidence should ensure that at least 5 customers and 5 products are
present in the drop down lists. [2]
(iii) Show evidence of any calculations that you have used. [3]
(c) The area of carpet required must be between 1 and 100.
The fitting date must be in the future and after the order date.
(i) Show evidence of how you set up validation rules for the area of carpet required and the
fitting date. [2]
(ii) Show screenshot evidence of the input data and a customised error message when –10
is input as the area of carpet required. [1] (d) Thomas, the expert quality controller, has found out about Daisy-May’s plans for the new
database. He has created a test plan that can be used once the data entry screen has been
created.
Voting Question: Do you like this story? I am 11 and want to know what you think of my writing. I’m not done yet and would do lots of editing if I wanted anything done with it.
——————————————————————————– Earth lay in ruins. Humans were on the brink of extinction; the few left were forced to kill each other for food. Their population was diminishing by the minute, threatening to die off completely. Animals were completely wiped out except for in the deepest parts of the ocean. Earth had gotten this way with seemingly simple problem; overpopulation. By 2080 the human population lay at 12 billion people, and food was getting more and more scarce. There were huge recessions and great poverty. The United States thought the UK had more food, and the UK thought the US had more food, and the tension between them got grew. Soon other countries joined in, and it was World War III. Toxic, chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons were launched at every country. Before they knew it, there were only a few thousand humans left, but by the time they put down their weapons it was too late. Diseases people had launched at their own relatives spread over the world, until only a couple hundred people survived. It seemed that there was no hope, no hope at all, for the human race.
But they were wrong. Years earlier, NATO predicted there would be a war sooner or later, so they set precautions. And so it was that on June 4, 2078, the large 50-man space shuttle The Renaissant plunged into space. The crew would travel for years, cryogenically frozen, until their radar picked up a planet with livable conditions, at which time they would set up a colony and populate the new planet.
This book is the diary of David Polong, shipmate of the ship Renaissant and one of the 50 Saviors of Earth. August 14, 2091
I feel like turd. Turd that’s been frozen for 12 years and then unthawed in a giant microwave, only to find itself floating 20,000 light years away from Earth in a giant high-tech garbage can coated in depleted uranium. That’s actually not far from the truth. I’ve been cryogenically frozen, and it felt just like taking a nap for a while so I could sleep. And sleep. And sleep. And sleep. Well, the computer must have pulled me out of the freezer for a reason, so I’m going to stop writing and see what the new planet looks like. August 15, 2091
I’m feeling better now, but I ate 30 pounds (Yuck, freeze dried waffles!) at breakfast and had to take a special pill to barf it up. My body is confused from being frozen, John said. John is the ship’s doctor and the closest thing I have to a father, as my parents died in the riots. Anyway, when I looked at the computer printouts I was shocked. There hadn’t been any satellite activity on Earth for 3 years. What they said was true. We were the last hope for humanity.
Then I heard a beeping sound and looked at the monitor. There is no way to describe what I felt when I saw the screen. The radar results were off the chart. Not only was there water on the planet, there was life. And not just a small plant and a tadpole, but whole rainforests and animals of every size and shape. It was like somebody had pulled the ship out of real life and put it in a scene from Planet of the Apes, that movie we had to watch in Pre-Recession History. I can’t wait to explore it and set up a colony on it. Even for a kid that has only spent 12 years out of a cryogenic chamber, I know this planet will save the human race. I look forward to helping it do so, no matter how dangerous that might be. August 20, 2091
The last 5 days have been the most suspenseful ones in my life, while we orbited the planet, scanning the conditions. The whole planet was covered with rainforests, and it looked something like this. (It shows a picture of a planet) Presumably, the water is purple because of mineral deposits, but it tested “Non-poisonous” on the radar. The gas levels were breathable, but the gases in it made our voices unusually high. Even though the tests all show that the conditions are livable, Otis Peters, our captain, says we can’t explore yet because we need to, “Get used to ourselves again.” Even though I disagreed, John said we had to so I dropped the matter. August 23, 2091
Today we christened the planet. Because there had been no traditions regarding the discovery of planets, we decided to make one. Otis dropped a wine bottle out the porthole and we traced its path to the ground with telescopes. Then he said, “I dub thee, Vierge!” and our planet had a name.
As I watched the bottle shatter against the rocks, a thought hit me. There was no turning back. I had deserted Earth and all of its inhabitants for this bleak, hostile future. I stifled a tear. I heard the footsteps of a man, and then John was patting me on the back and saying, “It’s okay. We may have left Earth, but Earth was gone before we were. Now go to
Voting Question: Flaw in Back To The Future logic?!? okay in the film Back to the future part III Doc (from 1985) went back to the year 1885 from the year 1955 stranding Marty alone in the year 1955. Marty therefore finds the Doc from 1955 to help him get to the year 1885. Doc (from 1955) and Marty discover that the Doc (from 1985) gets killed in the year 1885 so they decide to warn him by going back in time to save him. WAIT A MINUTE! if the Doc from 1955 knew about the Doc (from 1985) getting killed in the year 1885 wouldn’t the Doc from 1985 already know that he was going to die because he had learned it 30 years before he even left to go to 1885. I know that probably doesn’t make any sense but read it a few times.
Resolved Question: In what order would you place these 10 cliffhangers from best to worst? Spider-Man 2- Harry Osborn discovers the Green Goblin’s lair and picks up a vial of the Performance Enhancers formula. Resolved Question: Which Back to the Future movie do you think is the best? I personally would go with the first one. I like Part III more than Part II. A lot of my friends like Part II the most.
Resolved Question: make a summary (8 to 10 line)? Young Bell was a go-getter. Two years after he got to India he was superintendent of the male orphan asylum of Madras. In order to save money Bell decided to try the Hindu system he had seen and found it led students quickly to docile cooperation, like parts of a machine. Furthermore, they seemed relieved not to have to think, grateful to have their time reduced to rituals and routines as Frederick Taylor was to reform the American workplace a hundred years later. In 1797, Bell, now forty-two, published an account of what he had seen and done. Pulling no punches, he praised Hindu drill as an effective impediment to learning writing and ciphering, an efficient control on reading development. A twenty-year-old Quaker, Joseph Lancaster, read Bell’s pamphlet, thought deeply on the method, and concluded, ironically, it would be a cheap way to awaken intellect in the lower classes, ignoring the Anglican’s observation (and Hindu experience) that it did just the opposite. Lancaster began to gather poor children under his father’s roof in Borough Road, London, to give them rudimentary instruction without a fee. Word spread and children emerged from every alley, dive, and garret, craving to learn. Soon a thousand children were gathering in the street. The Duke of Bedford heard about Lancaster and provided him with a single enormous schoolroom and a few materials. The monitorial system, as it was called, promised to promote a mental counterpart to the productivity of factories. Transforming dirty ghetto children into an orderly army attracted many observers. The fact that Lancaster’s school ran at tiny cost with only one employee raised interest, too. Invitations arrived to lecture in surrounding towns, where the Quaker expounded on what had now become his system. Lancaster schools multiplied under the direction of young men he personally trained. So talked about did the phenomenon become, it eventually attracted the attention of King George III himself, who commanded an interview with Joseph. Royal patronage followed on the stipulation that every poor child be taught to read the Bible. But with fame and public responsibility, another side of Lancaster showed itself—he became vain, reckless, improvident. Interested noblemen bailed him out after he fell deeply in debt, and helped him found the British and Foreign School Society, but Lancaster hated being watched over and soon proved impossible to control. He left the organization his patrons erected, starting a private school which went bankrupt. By 1818 the Anglican Church, warming to Bell’s insight that schooled ignorance was more useful than unschooled stupidity, set up a rival chain of factory schools that proved to be handwriting on the wall for Lancaster. In the face of this competition he fled to America where his fame and his method had already preceded him. Meanwhile, in England, the whole body of dissenting sects gave Lancaster vociferous public support, thoroughly alarming the state church hierarchy. Prominent church laymen and clergy were not unaware that Lancaster’s schools weren’t playing by Hindu rules—the prospect of a literate underclass with unseemly ambitions was a window on a future impossible to tolerate. Bell had been recalled from his rectory in Dorset in 1807 to contest Lancaster’s use of Hindu schooling. In 1811, he was named superintendent of an organization to oppose Lancaster’s British and Foreign School Society, "The National Society for Promoting the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church." Since those principles held that the poor were poor because the Lord wanted it that way, the content of the society’s schooling leaves little about which we need to speculate. Bell was sent to plant his system in Presbyterian Scotland, while the patronage advantage of Bell-system schools contained and diminished the reach of Lancaster. For his services to the state, Bell was eventually buried in Westminster Abbey. At first, Lancaster was welcomed warmly in the United States, but his affection for children and his ability to awaken pride and ambition in his charges made him ultimately unacceptable to important patrons who were much more interested in spreading Bell’s dumbed-down method, without its Church of England baggage attached. Fortunately for their schemes, Lancaster grew even more shiftless, unmethodical, and incapable of sustained effort (or principled action). In the twenty remaining years of his life, Lancaster ranged from Montreal to Caracas, disowned by Quakers for reasons I’ve been unable to discover. He once declared it would be possible to teach illiterates to read fluently in twenty to ninety days, which is certainly true. At the age of sixty he was run over by a carriage in New York and died a few hours later. But while he died an outcast, his system outlived him, or at least a system bearing his name did, albeit more Bell’s than Lancaster’s. It accustomed an influential public to expect s

TA (A) Now in second semester, I have since transferred out of Spanish IV AP and into ROP Journalism. This is due to an extraneous amount of stress around my life, including my father’s diagnosis of cancer in November. This is in part why my Junior year grades are not where I want them to be. My Sophomore year grades were due to severe sickness and poor first-year-ever teachers. My grades will hopefully improve this semester, and I hope its for the better. SPORTS:
N/A. Due to asthma, I am unable to play sports that I wish to, and sports like track and field which do not require a lot of strenuous activity I consider to be a waste of time which I could spend doing homework etc. EXTRA-CURRICULAR:
This is also where I falter. I have done a few community service activities, and probably have around 20 hours of community service total. I’m not sure why, but I just haven’t gotten around to doing things around my community. I’m sure my extra-curriculars in general cripple my application, but I am working on it currently. I recently joined CSF and am very soon doing more volunteer work. I just hope this does not pass off as desperate. CLUBS:
N/A as well. I guess I could join a bunch of clubs, but my school houses none which are relevant to my interests. TESTS:
AP World: 2
PSAT: Took it twice, I think I got (168, 171).
I am taking the SAT in May, AP US test in May, and my ACTs and hopefully SAT Subject tests in June as well.
History is in no way my forte, as is shown by my low grade of 2. I hope I will do well on my US test, but I’m not sure. FUTURE: As I’m sure you have observed, I would like to go to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I’m pretty much taking this as my one main choice. I plan on majoring in Computer Science, hopefully centered around programming and possibly getting a job somewhere in the video game industry. At one point I wanted to go to Berkeley, but I figure with my lackluster performance thus far, I don’t have a good enough chance. The other UCs somewhat interested me as well, but their Computer Science departments were either too weak compared to Cal Poly or too far. Go ahead – do your worst.
Resolved Question: Australian influence on American television part III: Does Heroes have something against Australia? Okay, this seems like an odd question, but considering the success of Australian actors in major american television shows, movies and award ceremonies, why is it that in Heroes – A show that is set in a large amount of countries with a variety of characters from different countries – have no Australian characters? Also, I’d like to note within the Heroes franchise, Australia has been at least mentioned twice. In the comics there is some character or something named after Uluru in South Australia. Secondly in Season 3, future Peter shows present Peter a newspaper with the headline ‘Man Causes Earthquake in Sydney’. This has led me to the conclusion that Heroes producers hate Australia, since they won’t include the Uluru guy in the main show, and they made Sydney have an Earthquake in the future So from this point I want to start a petition to get an Australian character on Heroes for at least some supporting role OR an episode with a scene or two set in Australia or actually filmed in Australia, seeing how they did with Haiti and Canada and Japan etc. Personally actually filmed would be better… But if they set it in only Sydney I’d probably be pissed, why not Adelaide? Bollywood made a film set in Adelaide, its a nice city sure, its small, but its unique! Anyway, so if anyone reads this, spread it around, see if they kneel before useless internet pressure lol. Or do they really hate Australia?
The reason why Heroes is important is they have a large backstory of Australia in their graphic novel and Isaac’s paintings as well as the newspaper, usually when you put stuff like that in, it eventually becomes part of the story. Personally, I didn’t like their depiction of Canberra in the graphic novel, I haven’t been but from what I’ve seen its in the mountains and it gets really cold, so it doesn’t look much like a desert.

Plot Summary:Marty McFly is an aspiring musician, but he is not sure of what the future holds for him; first his band was rejected as the performing band for the school dance, and historically, no McFly has succeeded in anything. The only bright spots in his existence are his girlfriend and Emmett Brown, the town crackpot scientist, who is Marty’s good friend. Marty was helping brown with his latest invention a time machine, which is fitted into a Delorean. The time machine needs a tremendous amount of power to work, which he gets from plutonium. Now Brown got the plutonium from some Libyans who want him to build a bomb; they find Brown and shoot him, Marty gets into the Delorean and drives off and when he reaches the speed of 88 mph that activates the time machine, he finds himself in 1955, cause that was the date that Brown entered, which was when he first conceived the time machine. Now having already used up all the power of the plutonium, Marty must find a way to get it working, so he can go back to his own time. Marty looks for Brown but before he does, he runs into his father as a teenager, and accidentally interferes with his father’s first meeting of Lorraine, his future mother. Marty then goes to see Brown and convinces him that he is from the future and to help him. But when he learns of the amount of power that is needed to power the machine, he tells Marty that it’s hopeless cause the only other thing that can generate that much power is a bolt of lightning and it’s impossible to determine when and where they will strike, but Marty has with him an old newspaper cliping that states that the town clock tower will be struck by lightning, so they plan to draw the energy from the lightning so they can power the machine. But before they do, Marty must act as cupid for his parents cause it seems that because they never met they won’t fall in love and get married and Marty will not exist.

We are becoming more dependent on computers…? ..they are used in businesses, hospitals, crime detection and even to fly planes.
What things will they be used in the future? Is this dependence on computers a good thing or should we be more suspicious of their benefits?

In your opinion does it serve any positive purpose for the President to continue to place blame endlessly? He does this in almost every speech on every issue. I am curious if people believe this strategy serves any purpose whatsoever? If you do believe it serves a purpose then please explain your reasoning because to me it just sounds like endless campaign rhetoric. It is fine to look to the past to understand the problems and how we arrived at them, but at some point this must set aside the blame and concentrate on the effectiveness of proposed future solutions. All polite thoughtful answers will be given due consideration. Rants will be ignored.
Why do most bill collectors and telemarketers refuse to leave a message on an answering machine or voice mail? I get at least three calls a day from "800" numbers and from numbers I don’t recognize. I know that these calls are almost always from telemarketers or bill collectors. So, I let it go to voice mail so that I don’t have to talk to anyone. I don’t want to talk to anyone because, often, I end up talking to a pushy sales person. So, I let the voice mail answer. Now, in the end I admit I probably won’t care who called or return their call. But, maybe I might. The problem isn’t what I would or wouldn’t do. The problem is that I have no idea who is calling and why. That is what voice mail and answering machines are for. But, out of all these calls I get, zero of them leave a message. When they have left a message, which they never do anymore, it is so vague that it they may as well not have left it. Here is an example of one message left on my answering machine a year ago: "Hi. This message is for Jennifer. This is Tanya. Please call me back at 800-blah-blah and enter extension 217. Thanks." No mention of what company she was calling from or in regards to what she was calling about were left. So, what was the point in even bothering to leave a message? But, again, most never even go as far as leaving that kind of message. So, they are spending money and time to place a call. They call often and daily. In the end they are wasting their time because I will never answer their call and, since they don’t leave a message, I never will know who called or why they called and so I won’t be able to or willing to call back. Why do they do this? Call without leaving messages and being more clear about who is calling and why? I would have like it if Tanya had left this kind of message: "Hi. This message is for Jennifer. My name is Tanya and I am calling from Fake Magazine with an exciting offer on annual subscriptions. Please call me back to hear about this deal by calling 800-blah-blah and enter extension 217. To opt out of this deal and stop receiving future calls, enter 000 when you call and your number will be permanently removed from our list. Thank you and have a wonderful day." -This I could deal with. But they never do it that way. Why not?
Is there a future for Gilmore Girls? Ok, I was a HUGE fan of the show. I was watching ABC Family last night and saw a commercial that said something along the line of being sure to catch the new season of Gilmore Girls. I’m pretty sure it was a mistake, but just curious if anyone else saw it?
Friends with benefits..jealous? So I have my friends with benefits and we are in agreement with what we are doing and all and he once told me that it was just sex no emotions tide. So whatever, he does his thing and I do mine but we keep in touch and hook up every now and then. So he works at this place that I go to all the time, I’ve been going there for years, even before he started working there..this is where we met ( I picked him up)
So I was there the other day with my girlfriend and two guys. He kept passing by where we were but never once looked at me to acknowledge me. To people it may look like a date but it wasn’t. So at first I wondered what he might have thought seeing me there with a guy which he never has before, and wondered if him not acknowledging me was maybe a sign of jealousy..well I totally forgot all about it until the next day he had texted to me to ask me why he hasn’t gotten his present yet (I owe him something). I texted him back saying "Have I seen you?" and he says "Yes table 195 double date status" Which totally came as a surprise to me…now according to some people I’ve asked that definitely showed jealousy if he brought it up again the way that he did…he could have simply said yes the other day when you came into so and so..but he specified my table and mentioned it being a double date status. I then told him that it was not a date and he said he didn’t care it was just a good laugh…I have no idea what he meant by that and of course never told me what he meant when i asked him. He also asked me why I get up to go to the bathroom so much, I asked him how he knows I go that often anyways and he said when he passes by he doesnt see me at my table…I did not respond to that but that means he is watching me then does it not? and cares where I go.
But anyways… I just want as many oppinions on the matter as I can get. I just want to know if this is truly a sign of jealousy or not and if so what it means or could mean for our situation. And what should I do if I see more signs of jealousy in the future.
I have 2 African-AsianAmerican teens..We are considering of a move to Canberra Au. Should i be worried? They have never experierienced racism, perhaps sheltered but true. I am worried they will sense what is said behind their backs let alone to them possibly. i am also worried that someone would hurt them or they will have no option of future family life there. Does anyone have any personal experience???
Divorced parents.. Want a cat… Help!!? I have parents that have no recently been divorced and hoping to get a cat on my moms side. I have begged her for years about having a cat and yet she still dosent agree to it
She says the biggest problem for it is the Finalcial state. I told her that i would pay for most of it using what i get on my birthday and what i get for christmas… etc.
She also says taking care of it is the hardest. I told her i undestand how hard it can be to take care of a cat and I am willing to do anything to get it. I understand that sometimes cats are require alot of work but i udnerstand that. I am willing to take care of it as long as I am at the house.. I will pick up its throw up, cat hair etc.. and if needed ill keep it upstairs to keep cat hair and stuff upstairs. I have never really had a pet and I really want to have one now more then ever.. My friend has a friend giving them away for free and I really think that i could get one! I feel really lonely without one especially sicne there is nothing else to do. My mom love pets and if she had the money should would have bought one already. I am willign to pay for what ever comes my way.. shots.. spaded.. etc. I know this is a lot of hard work but i think i need something like this to help me in my future. What i need help with is ways to convince her. I need some way to tell her that i care about what she needs and what she feels is a pain but at the same time show her that i can do it and it will work. Thanks!
Yea … I already talked to her about responsibility and she thinks that i would be able to control the cat and take of it very well.. Yes there is alot of things to pay for the cat but my Birthdays come out to 300-400$ a year and for christmas its about the same or more.. I will find a way to buy the stuff that i need. It will be an inside cat so worms will not be able to get into him/her at any point… At the moment the cats i want are kittens and they are for free.. so I am also hoping they come with shots.. as for the toys and litter and food.. that is a necessity and i will try to find it at a half way decent price.. I am willing to go all out on this cat.. I really do want one hehe.

Storyline
Plot Summary:A wild, freeform, Rabelaisian trip through the darkest recesses of Edinburgh low-life, focusing on Mark Renton and his attempt to give up his heroin habit, and how the latter affects his relationship with family and friends: Sean Connery wannabe Sick Boy, dimbulb Spud, psycho Begbie, 14-year-old girlfriend Diane, and clean-cut athlete Tommy, who’s never touched drugs but can’t help being curious about them…
Read the title
what are some good books about drugs??? ANSWER read description? ok this sounds weird , i just like reading books about that like Dreamseller , Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas , and Trainspotting . PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help
Why is the film "Trainspotting" called Trainspotting? I’m on the way to buy the book, having seen and memorized the film years ago. Having just ridden the AmTrak (American passenger rail) for 16 hours thru the midwest and grown up around freight rail, I am curious. Internet research reveals that the book (& film) is named for a scene that didn’t make it into the film. Can anybody summarize this scene? Why on Earth is a film about heroin addiction named Trainspotting without the pivotal scene depicting the obsessive hobby? How do my Junk-riddled buddies relate to trains, other than taking a train to Tommy’s idealistic Scotland before he tries the junk? Perhaps I should just read the book, no? P.S. I am an Anglophile in Midwestern America. The inter-web tells me to be concerned about the dialect the book is written in. I remember hearing the same concerns about Elizabethan English when I started reading Shakespeare, and found the words to be no problem. Is the dialect "Trainspotting" is written in more dissimilar to American English than Elizabethan? Random last minute question, do your best.
@ Traffic Planner: "Tracks" is the American (and perhaps elsewhere) word used for the marks that I.V. Drug users develop on their arms due to repeated needle-sticks. I’ve never connected the "Train" in Trainspotting with the "Tracks" I see in my day to day life as a petrol station attendant. Thanks much. This shows a connection with IV drug use and trains, can anyone else elaborate?
Where can I get this T-shirt from the movie ‘Trainspotting’? Anyone who knows where you can get this T-Shirt?
http://outnow.ch/Movies/1996/Trainspotting/Bilder/movie.p/01
What book should i read first? What book should i read first? Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas or Trainspotting
anyone know any badass drug movies? And i mean the kind where someone gets addicted and drugs fuck up their lives and that kind of stuff, not like drug dealer/scarface like.
I have already seen Trainspotting, Requiem, and Candy. What are some others?
what stores not online sell movie posters? im looking for movies like: trainspotting
pulp fiction
death proof
planet terror
etc…
Movies similar to…? Trainspotting or The Namesake? I like movies that show different cultures. Thanks!
Trainspotting (the novel) quotes? Does anyone know if there are any quotes in the novel about scotland being shit. I know they have them in the film. I cant remember if thats the case in the book.

Storyline
Plot Summary:In a place soon to be known as The Valley of Death, in a small clearing called landing zone X-Ray, Lt. Colonel Hal Moore (Mel Gibson) and 400 young fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons, all troopers from an elite American combat division, were surrounded by 4,000 North Vietnamese soldiers. The ensuing battle was one of the most savage in U.S. history. We Were Soldiers Once…And Young is a tribute to the nobility of those men under fire, their common acts of uncommon valor, and their loyalty to and love for one another.
Considering we have to kill people, scrape bodies of our friends off the tarmac, work so hard, defend all you, live in holes in the floor, basically suffer for you, why do selfish people get paid so much more, where is the fairness in society, why does society have such a low opinion of us? Yes i know were volunteers, don’t use that stupid excuse because if we didn’t volunteer osama would be knocking on your door, doesn’t mean society has the right to say oh well they get treated bad but they volunteered what a stupid excuse. Why does society have such a low opinion of us?
Answer my other please. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqneufqlfqdA57YI6oVWLQfsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090521083939AAolyMr
Newsweek runs a false story that gets 12 American soldiers killed from the backlash? NY Times and the ACLU leak intelligence harmful to the US interests. They want to release more classified photos of the CIA performing duties that may be inflammatory. The LA Times and NY Times both spike stories damaging to Obama during the campaign. NBC is owned by GE who is set to make billions from the Carbon Credit trade. And has told it’s network to run stories pro-Obama program including MSNBC. 5 employees from CNN have been hired by Obama to work in the white house. The objective news media is dead in this country. We no longer get the truth. Agree or disagree?
Hater how is running a fake story that gets soldiers killed covering the war, please explain.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7857407/site/newsweek/print/1/displaymode/1098/
Koran flushed at GITMO was a fake story.
Is society which reads my thoughts back to Me, trying to make Me in a Natural born Killer, like a Soldier? Larry Todd Stevenson, indian name five dollars, true name withheld for legal reasons?
Soldier Front!? I am nooby. What do you have to say about that? Leave your IGN plox :]
What is all this worship requirement? Aren’t you worshipping thin air? How many people actually worship anyway? You are always begging for something in your prayer that’s not workshop. Shouldn’t you at least worship a little when he restores all those severed limbs of the soldiers. So some of them do grow back with an extra finger or toe. The surgeon can lop them off and they are ready for combat again. Praise God.
Military people, How did you find army life? What do you think of being a soldier etc as a career.
I’m looking for a world war two movie .? All I can remember is it takes place in the snow and the only one willing to get his hands dirty is the corpsman. I believe its about 3 soldiers that get separated (probably in bastogne). On the cover there is a picture of 1 soldier facing away. I rented it from Hollywood video and cant find it anywhere.
Do u like my poem 10 points? As I say the Pledge of Allegiance
I think about the reason
Why do we say this every day?
Is it so great? But I realized it shows how we appreciate
It’s a way of thanking the soldiers and troops everyday, in our own way
So next time when I say the Pledge
I will remember I’m also saying a fledge lol its a bit chezzy =] but m teacher told me fledge was a oath of loyalty
plz rate it on a scale on 1 to 10.and tell me wat i have to work on =]
Do arms dealers and other organisations influence government? UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown is said to have approved the spending of tens of billions of pounds on the Eurofighter (knowing the fighters may never be used), on types of helicopter that cannot be used in various weather conditions, on replacing submarine nuclear missiles (Trident).
This is whilst we have stories in the press about barracks and miltary homes falling apart and rotting away, lack of medical facilities for wounded soldiers returning home, and charities regularly collecting money to look after our service men and women and their families because the government will not do it.
I cannot think our government could be that horrible, there must be a reason behind it; are their decisions on how to allocate our public expenditure budget being influenced by interested vendors? If so, how? Why is the UK government seemingly constantly being tied into bad contracts and then getting into more bad contracts with the same vendors?
need to remember about a soldier game? i used to play an online game were there are two sides red and blue and they fight and take each others flag. its in 2d. u can fly with the soldiers too. its not command and conquer or red alert. plsss help mmeee!!

Plot Summary:Christian, a young wannabe Bohemian poet living in 1899 Paris, defies his father by joining the colorfully diverse clique inhabiting the dark, fantastical underworld of Paris’ now legendary Moulin Rouge. In this seedy but glamorous haven of sex, drugs and newly-discovered electricity, the poet-innocent finds himself plunged into a passionate but ultimately tragic love affair with Satine, the club’s highest paid star and the city’s most famous courtesan. Their romance is played out against the infamous club – a meeting place of high life and low, where slumming aristocrats and the fashionably rich mingled with workers, artists, Bohemians, actresses and courtesans.

Does anyone know the episode where the green mermaid and the rest were working at this beach cafe thing and these guys were hitting on the green mermaid? They(the girls when they were working there) were all wearing skates and serving coffee stuff. The guy was the too, like as a waiter. One of the guys hitting on the green mermaid was all like " we want an iced coffee, iced tea, and…you." And she was all like "I’ll come back when you have your orders". Someone help!!! Oh and it might have also been linked to the episode where they tried out for a beach contest, and possibly where Sara came out. I’m kinda sure it wasn’t in the second season. First to answer right gets choosen (by me) as #1 answer. Thanks so much

Resolved Question: Right wing Christians ALL hypocites? Are all right wing Christians as hypocritical as Wendy Wright of "Concerned Women for America"??? In a recent report she challenges Rick Warren (megachurch pastor) to preach the "biblical truth of marriage". Does she mean the truth that Abraham, while MARRIED to Sara pimps her off to Pharaoh as his sister??? And ended up screwing his wife’s maid??? Or the polygamous arrangements of ALL of the biblical patriarchs and kings…who had hundreds of "wives’ and concubines. Or those god fearing ‘Israelite’ heros who married PAGAN wives and worshiped their gods….try Solomon, or David, or any king of Israel. Or maybe she was referring to MODERN right wing Christians idea of the ’sanctity’ of marriage…like the divorced Christian president Ronald Reagan, or the Christian speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who served his dying wife with divorce papers IN THE HOSPITAL. Or that devout Christian evangelical Jimmy Swaggart who thought so much of his marriage vows that he used offerings from his gullible followers to hire WHORES. Or Ted Haggard, megachurch hypocrite, who found his marriage vows so binding that he hired MALE WHORES. Just what is this ‘biblical truth of marriage’ that Christian hypocrites go on and on and on and on about???
Tom baily: Not only have I read the bible, over and over many times…but have made it the object of more than 40 years of intense study. Along with the history of the bible, of Christianity, of comparitive religon, theology and philosophy. When YOU have done the same, get back to me. LOL
C. Jesus never gave us ANY church. He was an Orthodox Jews, who lived, preached and DIED an Orthodox Jew, reciting verses from the HEBREW bible. Your church was given to you by Constantine, after the Mythmaker, Paul and his followers, turned the gentle Jesus of Nazareth, into the eternally vengeful "Christ" whose only original notion was to ‘invent’ a pit of fire to torture ETERNALLY, weak men and women for having committed FINITE ’sins’.
Jimmy:
Your garden of Eden, with one man and one woman, is a MYTH, stolen from the Sumerian and Babylonian religions that preceeded Judaism. What part of THAT do YOU not understand???
J.J. Bear:
Where did you ever come up with the ridiculous notion that sin cannot be passed from a mother to a child? Do you not believe your bible when it says that ‘every man born of woman is born from with the stain of Adam -SIN???
Why do you suppose the church had to come up with the ridiculous notions of a Virgin Birth, and an Immaculate Conception…it was the only way to get around the notion that Mary had to be ’sinless’ in order NOT to pass the sin of Adam on to her son. One myth used to support another myth. Try reading the web article "Thirteen Reasons Why the Doctrine of Original Sin is FALSE".
Max Marie: Surely you jest: A god of LOVE who orders the wholesale slaughter of innocent women, children, infants, the unborn fetus, and even harmless dumb animals???? More akin to a totalitarian dictator for whom mass murder is nothing more than a whim which needs to be satisfied. Strange that your ‘holy’ books speaks more of KILLING than it does of Love. Maybe YOU need to reread your, allegedly, "holy" scripture and try to figure out how that litany of atrocities and obscenity could EVER be considered the inspiration of as sane god.
Resolved Question: Should American citizens worry who else is entering the country illegally? Should we not be worried about terrorist working with drug cartels and entering thru mexico and latin america?
Does this change your mind about who we are letting slip in here? Friday, March 27, 2009 EXCLUSIVE: Hezbollah uses Mexican drug routes into U.S.
Sara A. Carter (Contact) EXCLUSIVE: Hezbollah is using the same southern narcotics routes that Mexican drug kingpins do to smuggle drugs and people into the United States, reaping money to finance its operations and threatening U.S. national security, current and former U.S. law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism officials say. The Iran-backed Lebanese group has long been involved in narcotics and human trafficking in South America’s tri-border region of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. Increasingly, however, it is relying on Mexican narcotics syndicates that control access to transit routes into the U.S. Hezbollah relies on "the same criminal weapons smugglers, document traffickers and transportation experts as the drug cartels," said Michael Braun, who just retired as assistant administrator and chief of operations at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). "They work together," said Mr. Braun. "They rely on the same shadow facilitators. One way or another, they are all connected. "They’ll leverage those relationships to their benefit, to smuggle contraband and humans into the U.S.; in fact, they already are [smuggling]." His comments were confirmed by six U.S. officials, including law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism specialists. They spoke on the condition that they not be named because of the sensitivity of the topic. While Hezbollah appears to view the U.S. primarily as a source of cash – and there have been no confirmed Hezbollah attacks within the U.S. – the group’s growing ties with Mexican drug cartels are particularly worrisome at a time when a war against and among Mexican narco-traffickers has killed 7,000 people in the past year and is destabilizing Mexico along the U.S. border. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was in Mexico on Thursday to discuss U.S. aid. Other U.S. Cabinet officials and President Obama are slated to visit in the coming weeks. Hezbollah is based in Lebanon. Since its inception after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, it has grown into a major political, military and social welfare organization serving Lebanon’s large Shi’ite Muslim community. In 2006, it fought a 34-day war against Israel, which remains its primary adversary. To finance its operations, it relies in part on funding from a large Lebanese Shi’ite Muslim diaspora that stretches from the Middle East to Africa and Latin America. Some of the funding comes from criminal enterprises. Although there have been no confirmed cases of Hezbollah moving terrorists across the Mexico border to carry out attacks in the United States, Hezbollah members and supporters have entered the country this way. Last year, Salim Boughader Mucharrafille was sentenced to 60 years in prison by Mexican authorities on charges of organized crime and immigrant smuggling. Mucharrafille, a Mexican of Lebanese descent, owned a cafe in the city of Tijuana, across the border from San Diego. He was arrested in 2002 for smuggling 200 people, said to include Hezbollah supporters, into the U.S. In 2001, Mahmoud Youssef Kourani crossed the border from Mexico in a car and traveled to Dearborn, Mich. Kourani was later charged with and convicted of providing "material support and resources … to Hezbollah," according to a 2003 indictment. A U.S. official with knowledge of U.S. law enforcement operations in Latin America said, "we noted the same trends as Mr. Braun" and that Hezbollah has used Mexican transit routes to smuggle contraband and people into the U.S. Two U.S. law enforcement officers, familiar with counterterrorism operations in the U.S. and Latin America, said that "it was no surprise" that Hezbollah members have entered the U.S. border through drug cartel transit routes. "The Mexican cartels have no loyalty to anyone," one of the officials told The Washington Times. "They will willingly or unknowingly aid other nefarious groups into the U.S. through the routes they control. It has already happened. That’s why the border is such a serious national security issue." One U.S. counterterrorism official said that while "there’s reason to believe that [Hezbollah members] have looked at the southern border to enter the U.S. … to date their success has been extremely limited." However, another U.S. counterterrorism official confirmed that the U.S. is watching closely the links between Hezbollah and drug cartels and said it is "not a good picture." A senior U.S. defense official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of ongoing operations in Latin America, warned that al Qaeda also could use trafficking routes to infiltrate operatives into the U.S. "If I have the mon

Resolved Question: Does Obama love ALL terrorists? Barack Obama’s very first political fundraiser, when he was tapped to replace Alice Palmer in the Illinois State Senate, was a party hosted by Michael Ayers and Michelle Dorm in their home. Ayers and Dorm, of course, are the unrepentant "Weathermen" terrorists who have said that not only do they not regret their bombings, they think they didn’t do enough. When terrorist supporter Rashid Khalidi was deported for his outspoken support of Hamas terror campaigns, he was thrown a lavish "Going away" party in a Chicago luxury hotel. The host? Barack Obama. In charge of ticket sales? Michael Ayers. This was, doubtless, payback for Khalidi’s active fund raising for Obama in Illinois’ Muslim community. Now, today, comes his latest support for terrorists. SLA baby killer Sara Jane Olson, who participated in car bombings and other atrocities, and who herself personally kicked a pregnant bank teller in the stomach while she lay helpless on the floor at gunpoint, causing her to miscarry, has been released after serving less than half her sentence. The excursion boat on the river takes 2 1/2 hours to make the trip to a point 12 miles upstream and to return. If the rate at which the boat travels in still water is 5 times the rate of the river current, what is the rate of the current?

autumn beach wedding? Just need some advice here.Has anyone ever done an autumn / winter beach wedding? We live in north Queensland, and plan to get married in 2011. Now we have a beautiful island just off the coast, just 20 minutes by ferry boat. so we re inviting my parents, brother and sisters with their partners and my best friend with her boyfriend. They ll only pay their flights over here, but my fiancee and I are saving up to take all of them on a two week road trip before our wedding day, with the grand finale our wedding day. So we re going to get motorhomes for that etc. anyway it will be fun. but since we got the island right off the coast where we live, it seems a real pitty not to marry there. But im also very much ‘in love’ with the thought of an autumn theme, with deep orange colours etc. i realize magnetic island is more of a tropical setting, but it would be ‘winter’ over here, it would still be an agreeable 22 degrees i guess in the day time. is it silly to want an autumn theme on a beach?? PS of course there wont be any autumn coloured trees, but i was thinking of orangy kind of roses and petals, a lighter kind of green to contrast and perhaps some yellows to go with the orange kind of roses? bridesmaid dresses would be a light deep kind of green, with their orangy kind of bouquets i dunno am i crazy or should i keep looking for another theme?
btw i am from europe, where my parents live, hes from the tropics, hence the autumn mix with the tropical island idea :S

How to motivate myself to work out/exercise? I’m always so tired, and never feel like exercising. But I do know that it always makes me feel PUMPED when I actually get up and run or something.
I can’t do anything too intense, cause I’ll probably pass out and die.
And I get really frustrated with things like yoga, because if I can’t do it the first time, I just get angry and quit. So how can I motivate myself (besides looking in the mirror and actually looking at the things I consume because the guilt trip boat has sailed!) to excercise, and how can I keep continuing a daily excercise routine?
Describing a boat trip ? please i really need this thanks? i want u guys to help me like give me a 10sentence paragraph describing me in the boat on a sunny day ! i need gd description ! thx for the help
What about these then for my american fans? Why is an astronaut like an American footballer? They both like to make safe touch-downs. She’s always late. Her ancestors arrived in America on the June Flower. A old man was sitting in the front row at a town meeting, heckling the mayor as he delivered a long speech. Finally the mayor could stand it no longer, so he pointed to the heckler and said, "will that gentleman please stand up and tell the audience what he has ever done for the good of the city." "Well Mr. Mayor," the man said in a firm voice. "I voted against you in the last election." There was a very self-sufficient blind man, who did a lot of traveling alone. He was making his first trip to Texas and happened to be seated next to a Texan on the flight. The Texan spent a lot of time telling him how everything is bigger and better in Texas. By the time the blind man had reached his destination, a large resort hotel, he was very excited about being in Texas. The long trip had worn him out a little so he decided to stop at the bar for a small soda and a light snack before going up to his room to unpack this clothes. When the waitress set down his drink, it was in a huge mug. "Wow, I had heard everything in Texas is bigger," he told her. "That’s right,"she replied. The blind man ate his snack and finished his drink. After drinking such a large amount, it was only natural his next stop was going to have to be the restroom. He asked the waitress for directions. She told him to turn left at the register and it would be the second door on the right. He reached the first door and continued down the hall. A few steps later he stumbled slightly and missed the second door altogether and ended up going through the 3rd door instead. Not realizing he had entered the swimming area he walked forward and immediately fell into the swimming pool. Remembering everything he had heard about things being bigger in Texas, as soon as he had his head above water he started shouting

Storyline
Plot Summary:Dead Man is the story of a young man’s journey, both physically and spiritually, into very unfamiliar terrain. William Blake travels to the extreme western frontiers of America sometime in the 2nd half of the 19th century. Lost and badly wounded, he encounters a very odd, outcast Native American, named “Nobody,” who believes Blake is actually the dead English poet of the same name. The story, with Nobody’s help, leads William Blake through situations that are in turn comical and violent. Contrary to his nature, circumstances transform Blake into a hunted outlaw, a killer, and a man whose physical existence is slowly slipping away. Thrown into a world that is cruel and chaotic, his eyes are opened to the fragility that defines the realm of the living. It is as though he passes through the surface of a mirror, and emerges into a previously-unknown world that exists on the other side.
Okay, I finished my comments about the previous passage of Scripture that you all helped me with. Thank you very much for that. In my previous response to the pastor, I had cited 1 Corinthians 6:12-20 as a verse that talks about abstaining from things that harm the body. Here’s what it says: 12"Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything. 13"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"—but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."[b] 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. *** He told me I took all this out of context and changed the Scripture to fit my interpretation. I’ll quote what he said: In fact, if you look carefully at the context of the passage, it is speaking NOT of "physically harming the body" but in fact playing the harlot as the Bride of Christ. While the point still stands that we are Christs, my point is that you have also fit Scripture to YOUR perception. You have read into the Scripture that Paul was warning of the physical dangers of extramarital sex. There is absolutely NO indication of that in either the English reading, or the original Greek. Paul is simply reminding the Corinthians that they belong to Christ, and as the Bride of Christ, they were to no longer "whore" themselves to the idolatry of the world. Who’s right on this one? Did I understand the Scripture incorrectly or is he taking it wrong? Thanks again!
Men’s attachment to unborn children? Even though I’m 6 months pregnant and babies dad has seen scans, felt baby kick & filled a nursery, he says he doesn’t feel a connection to her… he says this is because he is a man?!.. SO….. Ladies, how long did it take your men to love the baby – from the start or after the birth? What significant factor brought this on? (making the cot, cutting the cord etc) Men, Is this true – can you only feel connected once you have held your child in your arms? Or is my babies daddy emotionally dead? Any of your stories would help! Thank you! x
What bands should I listen to? Okay, so these are the things that you need to know about me to answer this question:
1) I like country, normally.
2) I love rock. (Hard rock as well as regular as long as they aren’t screaming the whole time)
3) I don’t really like songs that every other word is a swear word. 4) I don’t really like rap.
These are the bands/singers I already really like:
-Good Charlotte
-Theory of a Dead Man
-Hinder
-Nickelback
-Carrie Underwood
-Kelly Clarkson
and bunches of regular singers like them.
Please suggest bands/singers that you think I would like! Thanks!
"If We must Die" by Claude McKaly.? "If we must die, let it not be like hogs
Hunted and penned in an inglorious spot,
While round us bark the mad and hungry dogs,
Making their mock at our accursed lot.
If we must die, O let us nobly die,
So that our precious blood may not be shed
In vain; then even the monsters we defy
Shall be constrained to honor us though dead!
O kinsmen we must meet the common foe!
Though far outnumbered let us show us brave,
And for their thousand blows deal one deathblow!
What though before us lies the open grave?
Like men we’ll face the murderous, cowardly pack,
Pressed to the wall, dying, but fighting back!" What is this poem about? Who is the speaker? What is the tone? What is the central meaning? Examples of sound devices? Any other details? A very good answer gets you ten pts!! Please help. Never understood this stuff. Also, please explain so I can understand and do the rest of my homework. Thanks!!
Timmy and Noiamnot Why do you care about what Jehovah Witnesses do? Your questions regarding Jehovah’s Witnesses and blood in an emergency situation was asked this week. I want to know why do you even care. You obviously have such a strong dislike or hate for witness. Yes, Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t accept whole blood or it’s COMPONENTS. Yes, we don’t want to compromise our relationship with our God Jehovah if it came do to losing our life. Many people offer their lives to their country. Why can’t we prove our loyalty to our GOD if it meant that we had to died? After all we follow Jesus example, (Matthew 20:28В Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many.”) You are sadly mistaken if you think we want to die or we don’t love our kids. (Matthew 22:37В He said to him: “вЂYou must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38В This is the greatest and first commandment. 39В The second, like it, is this, вЂYou must love your neighbor as yourself.) Our love of God is not put on hold in an emergency. That’s why we have Advanced Directives so that we can let health officials know our stances and what we will and will not take. Because of Jehovah’s Witnesses peering into the Bible you wouldn’t have Bloodless medicine options. There are many non-witnesses that use the option too. The option to have accurate blood type matches, no blood tainted with HIV, HeP c, and any other DZ. We are not ill inform or misinform because we are taught by Jehovah by means of the Bible. Did you even no that Doctors can lower the blood threshold levels? Yes, in Emergency situations too. I know people that have had HGB levels of less than 5. Matter of fact I know someone that lived with a HGB of 1. But the truth of the matter is, it’s pointless to discuss this with people that don’t appreciate Bible truth’s. So just to make it clear, WE LOVE JEHOVAH, WE LOVE OUR CHILDREN, WE LOVE OURSELVES, WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR, but NO we won’t compromise our relationship with JEHOVAH in emergency situations if no other solution is present. Acts 15:29 (King James Version) 29That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. Acts 15:29 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
29 that you abstain from food offered to idols, from blood, from eating anything that has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. (A) If you keep yourselves from these things, you will do well. Acts 15:29 (English Standard Version)
29(A) that you abstain from(B) what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell. It does not say when it’s convenient for us or it’s null in void in emergency situations. If it did come down to our death we are assured of GOD’s promise by means of "St. Peter" Acts 24:15В and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. Acts 24:15 (King James Version) 15And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. or which ever Bible you want to use.
Got_Air–It’s probably better to let Jesus do the Judging and the appointing blood guilt to whom. Jehovah say "vengeance is mine, I will repay it". With that being say, Who will suffer from all the lives lost from all the wars blessed by those claiming to represent God? Who will accept blood guilt for the innocene child still being killed in wars at present? Over 50 million people killed in WWII ALONE, who will accept that blood guilt. Or who will accept the blood guilt of all the Ryan Whites of the world?
Peer editing on a comparison paper? could you please offer some peer-editing for this paper? It’s a comparison of the Gothic Characteristics in the short stories "A Rose For Emily" by Faulkner and "The Cast Of Amontillado" by Poe. I have to turn it in tomorrow, and don’t have anyone who can check it for me!! Thank you so so much! The short stories “A Rose for Emily”, by Faulkner, and Poe’s “The Cast Of Amontillado” have many of the characteristics of Gothic Literature. Some of the characteristics include suspense, mystery, passion driven villains, broken down buildings, and winding architecture. All of these add to the plot and enhance the story.
The moods in both these stories were very gloomy and eerie. In “A Rose For Emily” Emily lives in a large, broken down house alone. She is alone because of the death of her loved one. The strangeness and ominous feeling cast over the story remains until Emily dies, and even after that, she is discovered having slept next to her dead partner by the narrator: “in the second pillow was the indentation of a head… that faint and invisible dust dry and acrid in the nostrils, we saw a long strand of iron-grey hair.” The eeriness in “The Cast of Amontillado” is mostly cause by the physical details of the characters and their actions. For example, when Fortunato is introduced, and described wearing his jester’s costume, and the jingling bells of his hat. This is eerie because when he is killed, the narrator describes the bells of his hat jingling as he panics in the cave while he suffocates.
The settings also contribute to the Gothic themes. In “A Rose for Emily,” the setting is mostly a “big, squarish house that had once been white, decorated with cupolas and spires and scrolled balconies in the heavily lightsome style of the seventies, set on what had once been our most select street.” Describing the house, the narrator uses the words “had once” when referring to the past grandeur of the house. This makes it all the more creepy to imagine, and the thought of living in it is creepy itself. In “The Cast OF Amontillado” the setting is primarily a catacombs, with bones lying about in piles and scattered on the floors. There are corpses in holes in the walls and it’s cold and damp, lighted only by a lit torch, “from forth the side the bones have been thrown down, and lay promiscuously upon the earth…” Terrible villains are a key characteristic in Gothic Literature, especially when driven by passion. The villains in both “A Rose for Emily” and “The Cask Of Amontillado” the villain is driven by passion. In “A Rose for Emily”, Emily herself is the villain, driven by her victim, Homer Baron’s, interest in men and his lack of desire for marriage. He never told her of his interests, and when she realizes he won’t marry her, she desires revenge. Her revenge ends in his “disappearance.” Montresor is the passion driven villain in “The Cast of Amontillado,” driven by his desire for revenge upon his friend for insulting him. And causing him injuries. As retaliation, Montresor lures Fortunato into the catacombs to kill him, promising fine wine.
Gothic Literature is unique in many ways, and many of the Gothic characteristics of these stories are what makes them great. These details are what makes the characters despicable and interesting to the reader, and create classic short stories. Again, thank you so much!!
…what is man’s greatest sin? Padre, forgive me for i have sinned… …I tried
to stay under the
radiance of the light
where everything can be seen
and lies were forbidden…
But i wonder why fear suffocated my breath
and the wolves glared at me in my sleep
and their howls
devoured my dreams
They said the crows
never shared their feast
with the vultures…
But you see
man has told tales based upon contradicting ideologies
and the one
hanging on that dead tree
knows the smell of his own blood
His voice may be cold
lifeless
heavy… ……nevertheless the truth… so now i walk away
to be with the whispers
of the dead…
**Mek…….
Why is modern Christianity so contrary to what the Bible actually says? James 2:14-24 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.

I have chosen ten movies that I feel cover most aspects of ‘Hollywood’ films. If you want to suggest other movies that would help do that your suggestions would be appreciated (preferable relatively modern well known movies). Oh if it isn’t too much to ask could you give your gender and age Thanks for your help!
What’s this rock song – famous in 2007? All I can remember is it is a rock song from 2007 and the music video. The video was a cartoon of a woman walking up to a tree and digging, the tree was in the shape of a man and inside the treetop that was shaped like a head was the man. He look out a window and stared at her, she looked up at him then kept digging. He walked over inside the head to a heart with knives in it and then the walls started bleeding. I forgot what happens next. At the end the woman is standing over the big head and cuts into it with the shovel and digs the man out of the head, but he’s asleep or dead or something. It was a soft rockish song.
